Sepsis Management in Resource-limited Settings
This book is open access under a CC BY 4.0 license. It constitutes a unique source of knowledge and guidance for all healthcare workers who care for patients with sepsis and septic shock in resource-limited settings. More than eighty percent of the worldwide deaths related to sepsis occur in resource-limited settings in low and middle-income countries. Current international sepsis guidelines cannot be implemented without adaptations towards these settings, mainly because of the difference in local resources and a different spectrum of infectious diseases causing sepsis. This prompted members of the Global Intensive Care working group of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU, Bangkok, Thailand) - among which the Editors - to develop with an international group of experts a comprehensive set of recommendations for the management of sepsis in resource-limited settings. Recommendations are based on both current scientific evidence and clinical experience of clinicians working in resource-limited settings. The book includes an overview chapter outlining the current challenges and future directions of sepsis management as well as general recommendations on the structure and organization of intensive care services in resource-limited settings. Specific recommendations on the recognition and management of patients with sepsis and septic shock in these settings are grouped into seven chapters. The book provides evidence-based practical guidance for doctors in low and middle income countries treating patients with sepsis, and highlights areas for further research and discussion. This work was published by Saint Philip Street Press pursuant to a Creative Commons license permitting commercial use. Communication and Information Technology in (Intercultural) Language Teaching
The topic of this book is in congruence with the current trends in foreign language education worldwide. On the one hand, it tackles the concept and implementation of intercultural language teaching; on the other, it analyses the circumstances in which information and communication technology may be utilised in the contemporary EFL classroom. Both intercultural teaching and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) have been promoted by national/international educational documents in Europe, the USA and Asia, and endorsed by international organisations, including the Council of Europe and UNESCO.This book constitutes a pioneering attempt at establishing the role of ICT in English language and culture teaching within the Polish education system. However, the research instruments used within both research modules are applicable to other education systems worldwide, while the results obtained have implications for intercultural and computer-assisted language education in international contexts. The research results presented in the book highlight to the broad EFL profession a wide range of issues relating to the use of ICT in the foreign language classroom. They also offer materials writers, software designers and EFL teachers criteria with which to evaluate the intercultural component of CALL software.

Which settings in Android prevent communication between apps?
In Android, the settings that prevent communication between apps are primarily related to app permissions and security features. For example, apps are sandboxed by default, meaning they are isolated from each other and cannot directly access each other's data or resources. Additionally, Android's permission system allows users to control which apps have access to certain features or data on their device, such as the camera, microphone, or location. Furthermore, Android's security features, such as app signing and app isolation, help prevent unauthorized communication between apps.

What should the thermostat settings be for condensing technology?
For condensing technology, the thermostat settings should be set to a lower temperature compared to traditional heating systems. It is recommended to set the thermostat to around 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit for optimal efficiency. This lower temperature setting allows the condensing technology to operate more efficiently by maximizing the heat exchange process. Additionally, setting the thermostat lower can help reduce energy consumption and lower heating costs.
-
What should the thermostat settings be for condensing boiler technology?
The thermostat settings for condensing boiler technology should be set to a temperature that allows the boiler to operate in its most efficient mode. This typically means setting the thermostat to a lower temperature, such as 140°F (60°C) for the heating system. This lower temperature allows the boiler to condense and extract more heat from the combustion process, increasing its efficiency. It's important to consult the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for the specific condensing boiler model to ensure the thermostat settings are optimized for efficiency and performance.

Wired for Innovation : How Information Technology Is Reshaping the Economy
Two experts on the information economy explore the true economic value of technology and innovation. A wave of business innovation is driving the productivity resurgence in the U.S. economy. In Wired for Innovation, Erik Brynjolfsson and Adam Saunders describe how information technology directly or indirectly created this productivity explosion, reversing decades of slow growth. They argue that the companies with the highest level of returns to their technology investment are doing more than just buying technology; they are inventing new forms of organizational capital to become digital organizations. These innovations include a cluster of organizational and business-process changes, including broader sharing of information, decentralized decision-making, linking pay and promotions to performance, pruning of non-core products and processes, and greater investments in training and education. Innovation continues through booms and busts. This book provides an essential guide for policy makers and economists who need to understand how information technology is transforming the economy and how it will create value in the coming decade.

Why is crossplay communication not showing up in my Xbox settings?
Crossplay communication may not be showing up in your Xbox settings for a few reasons. One possibility is that the game you are playing does not support crossplay communication, so the option may not be available in the settings. Another reason could be that your Xbox Live account settings may have restrictions on crossplay communication, which can be adjusted in your account privacy and online safety settings. Additionally, there may be a technical issue with your Xbox or the game itself that is preventing crossplay communication from appearing in the settings. It's recommended to check the game's specific settings and your Xbox Live account settings to troubleshoot the issue.

Why is the AirPods information not visible in the settings?
The AirPods information is not visible in the settings because AirPods do not have their own settings menu on iOS devices. Instead, the settings for AirPods are integrated into the Bluetooth settings of the device they are connected to. This means that users can manage their AirPods settings, such as renaming them or adjusting double-tap functions, through the Bluetooth settings menu on their iPhone or iPad.
